The Recovery Through Art Society
To Members of Vancouver Recovery Through Art Society (VRTAS)
THE FUTURE
Thank you to those who joined our Annual General Meeting last month. Your Board of Directors is very grateful to say that the two the special resolutions passed unanimously. And so….
- Recovery Through Art will be donating our assets (approximately $125,000) to help support The Art Studios Program via Lookout Housing and Health Society.
- We will be dissolving our charity.
With your help, we are proud to say that we have made a difference in keeping The Art Studios alive – that has been our purpose all along. With the program now in the capable hands of Lookout it is time for us to stand down.
Thank you so much for being there with your membership and support. It has meant a great deal for us to know that you were there, whether by volunteering, donating, or with good wishes to keep recovery going through The Art Studios. This program has saved lives and helped so many. We are delighted to feel it has a bright future with Lookout.
We will be hosting a ‘wrap-up’ party with you – our membership, the donors, former and present staff, clients and ‘members’ of The Art Studios, to celebrate all we have gone through and accomplished.
And to celebrate the future!
Lookout Housing & Health Society, a large charity with many programs (including housing), is running The Art Studios in the best way possible in these times of COVID19. We are very happy that The Studios has been taken over by this organization that can ensure the viability of this great program for many years to come.
The Art Studios program will survive for clients, both now and in the future, to experience the transformative power of art.
